Reporting directly to the Manager Finance, this role is central to ensuring projects are set up for success. You’ll support a wide range of finance, cost control, and operational activities — with a strong focus on financial controls, accurate job costing, and proactive reporting. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients, project leaders, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong financial oversight by monitoring customer contracts against plan, identifying variances, and contributing to improvements that enhance the quality and timeliness of internal financial reporting. This is a role where your attention to detail, customer‑focused mindset, and drive for accuracy will make a meaningful impact as our business continues to grow. ⭐ Key Responsibilities: Prepare regular job cost reports Reconcile customer purchase orders with internal Cost, Time and Resources (CTR) budgets, ensuring accuracy of sell rates and resource allocations Prepare job budgets for existing work scopes and potential new projects Process supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with the authorisation matrix Prepare weekly and ad‑hoc payment runs Liaise with suppliers and respond to queries promptly Manage monthly client billing processes Ensure job cost control systems are set up, maintained, and updated in a timely manner Reconcile Remittance Advices Support the Manager Finance with day‑to‑day functions ⭐ About You (Qualifications & Experience) Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar (preferred) Experience in a finance, contracts, cost‑control, or billing role Strong understanding of job costing, purchase orders, invoicing, and reconciliations Proficiency with financial/ERP systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, MYOB, or similar) Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data Effective communication and supplier/client liaison skills Experience in oil & gas, hydrocarbons, engineering, or project‑based environments (desirable) ⭐ What We Offer: A newly created position offering the chance to shape your role as our business grows.
